This roadside station is equipped with hot spring facilities. The restaurant menu will be renewed in February 2025, using local brand "Kansho pork" and Miyazaki Prefecture black Japanese beef as ingredients. In addition, the "Center for Medicinal Herbs and Local Crops," which conducts research on approximately 600 kinds of medicinal herbs, herbs, and local crops, is located next to the station and can be visited. Herb tea and ripe mango soft serve are popular among women.

Roadside Station Yuparu Nojiri Gourmet Information
The best place to eat: Kirishimarenshan fumo fumo katsudon.
The menu of the station appeared in 2023. The amount of meat varies according to the elevation of the Kirishima mountain range: 120 g for Hinamoridake, 300 g for Takachiho, and 500 g for Karakuni. Sweet potatoes are added to the feed during the finishing stage, resulting in tender meat and sweet fat that melts in the mouth. First, eat a piece of the hot pork cutlet as it is to experience the taste of the meat. Next, eat it with sauce. Then, pour the egg topping over the cutlet and rice to make a katsu-don (pork cutlet served on top of rice). Takachihonomine" and "Mt. Korea" are limited to three meals on weekdays and five meals on Saturdays and Sundays, but this is not the limit if you make a reservation at least two days in advance. Prices are, in order, 1,280 yen, 2,280 yen, and 3,280 yen. All prices include tax.

The station's original soft serve ice cream is called "burdock soft serve" made from burdocks, a specialty of the station. The color and smell are just like burdock root. It also tastes like burdock, but strangely enough, for a moment, it tastes like chocolate. The rich, lingering taste, and the fact that burdocks are rich in dietary fiber and have an intestinal-regulating effect make them a beauty food. Furthermore, in February 2025, "Burdock Chip Soft Ice Cream" topped with burdock chips will be available. The crunchy texture and salty taste of the burdock chips match the sweetness of the soft serve ice cream. The taste that can only be found in this region can be found at the roadside station. Gobo soft serve: 320 yen, Gobo Chippu soft serve: 500 yen. Both include tax.

Higashi (Tsuma) Kirishima Shrine
This ancient shrine is said to have been founded during the reign of the fifth Emperor Koaki, at the foot of the Kirishima mountain range, where the myth of the descent of the grandchildren is told. This shrine is said to be the Kirishima Shrine that appears in the Engishiki, and is one of the six Kirishima shrines. At the entrance to the shrine grounds, there is a sacred stone said to have been formed by the tears of Izanagi no Mikoto, who lost his wife Izanami no Mikoto, and the stone steps leading to the main shrine are said to have been built by a demon in one night with 999 stones. The stone steps leading up to the main shrine are said to have been piled up by demons in one night. It is also said that if you climb the slope without turning around and chanting a wish, your wish will come true.
