Saga Roadside Station Kamimine opens April 6! Looking forward to local food gourmet!

On Sunday, April 6, 2025, Michi no Eki Kamimine (Kamimine-cho, Miyagi-gun, Saga Prefecture), the 11th location in Saga Prefecture, will hold its grand opening.

A new roadside station opened in Saga Prefecture!

The location is around the intersection of National Route 34 and Prefectural Route 22, the site of a large commercial facility. The 15,500-square-meter site will include a parking lot (149 spaces) with EV charging facilities, restrooms available 24 hours a day, a rest area, a food court with eating and drinking space for the sale of local vegetables and specialty foods, and a tourist information center.

Fresh vegetables and gourmet food tenants are also a highlight.
The food includes fried prawns and shrimp dishes at "EBI Laboratory," a restaurant specializing in fried prawns, which is very popular as a tax return gift, fresh fruit parfaits and cakes at the fruit garden "Shin SUN," a popular handmade tofu store, and "Kadofu," a shop specializing in warabimochi (rice cakes), which are very popular! and the popular handmade tofu shop and "Kadofuji," a store specializing in warabimochi (bracken rice cakes), which are a hot topic of conversation.

What makes it unique is that, in addition to providing tourist information and selling local products as a roadside station, it is also a complex facility that combines local child-rearing and disaster prevention functions, with daycare facilities and a certified childcare center available to local residents, emergency power supply, stockpile warehouse, water storage tank, etc. A gymnasium and educational facilities are also under construction.
