Refresh yourself to the fullest on the expansive grounds!
It is located at an elevation of 600 m, overlooking the southern outer rim of Aso to the north and the spine of the Kyushu Mountains to the south, and is called the "belly button of Kyushu. On clear days, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Aso Gogaku mountains (Kumamoto), the Kuju mountain range (Oita), and Mount Grandmother (Miyazaki). The area of the roadside station is 16 hectares, equivalent to four times the size of the Tokyo Dome, making it the largest roadside station in Kyushu. Roadside Station Soyokaze Park Gourmet Information
Blueberries, a local product of the local area

The former Soyo Town, where the roadside station is located, began blueberry cultivation about 35 years ago and is one of the largest producers in Kyushu. The "Rabbiteye" and "Highbush" varieties are grown in the district, and visitors can enjoy picking blueberries at tourist farms in the town from late June through August. Naturally, blueberries have been a key word at the station since its establishment. The station has a blueberry farm, and the "Soyokaze Product Center" is filled with blueberry products. Among them, we recommend the station's original products such as soft-serve ice cream, jam, madeleines, and syrup made by hand at the station's own farm. Processed blueberry products allow you to enjoy the taste of blueberries all year round. Sweet and sour blueberries are in season in summer and rich in rejuvenating vitamin E. It is no wonder that women love them. Is it any wonder why women love them so much?
For a meal, go here Restaurant Maam

Restaurant Maam," which was popular for its mother's taste buffet, has also been renewed and reopened for business. As in the past, "Chef Ka-chan," a local farmer, brings in her own vegetables and prepares about 20 kinds of home-style dishes. The dishes include tempura, deep-fried vegetables harvested that day, and slow-stewed stewed vegetables, all with the warmth of home cooking. Dagojiru, a soup that warms the heart, is another popular dish. For the younger generation, fried chicken is also available. The home cooking of the countryside, rich in vegetables, is also gentle on the body. Adults 1500 yen, children (4 to elementary school age) 800 yen, children under 3 free. All prices include tax and a drink bar.

I'm proud of this one too.

There are three types of accommodations. Hotel Windy has Western-style rooms and Japanese-style rooms. Western-style rooms come in three types: with bath, with shower, and without bath/shower. The Japanese-style rooms do not have a bath, but offer a panoramic view of the five Aso peaks and the Kujyu mountain range. The hotel also has a large public bath, which can be used free of charge regardless of the room type. The bathwater overflowing with water is rich in metasilicic acid, which is effective in beautifying the skin. If you are looking for a Japanese-style atmosphere, visit the Inaka Sanso. Here, a sunken hearth is set in the wooden floor that leads from the earthen floor, and can actually be used. Visitors can sit around the hearth while enjoying nabe (hot pot) or dengaku (sweet dengaku). It is a precious experience that is rarely possible today.
Suyang Gorge
If you want to have fun in the area

The canyon is a sheer cliff about 200 meters high and stretches for a whopping 10 kilometers. It is also a rare U-shaped canyon in Japan. It is also called "Kyushu's Grand Canyon," and the beauty of the canyon can be enjoyed in each of the four seasons, from fresh greenery to autumn foliage. There is a promenade for trekking around the canyon, and canoeing is also available. The Nagasakibana Observatory, located near the U-shaped turnaround point of the trail, is the most scenic spot in Soyokyo. It overlooks the outer rim of the Aso Mountains and the Kyushu Mountains, and the unpleasant valley spreads out below.
