Bountiful harvest with a wide selection of products
Matsuura City, where the roadside station is located, is one of the largest producers of horse mackerel and mackerel, farmed tiger puffer fish, and farmed bluefin tuna in the nation's "big catch" prefecture of Nagasaki. Naturally, the museum is filled with fresh seafood and processed marine products. Fresh fish events such as a toro box market and a tuna dismantling show are always a great success. The center is called "Don Quixote of Michi no Eki (Roadside Station)" because it offers a wide variety of products, from local delicacies to original products of the roadside station. In particular, the roadside station has its own farm producing Anno sweet potatoes and star fruit, and produces original Anno sweet potato shochu and processed star fruit products. In addition, the station manager is only a camper fan and supports overnight stays in campers and vehicles. Of course, manners must be strictly observed.

It is only available in the fall and winter months, when the mackerel has a good amount of fat and the meat is firm. It can be enjoyed as sashimi, grilled with salt, or cooked in a pot. It is rich in DHA, which activates the brain, and EPA, which suppresses cholesterol and neutral fat. Frozen foods can be purchased at roadside stations.
Buy this Onion Curry

An original product of the roadside station. It uses plenty of onions grown on the directly managed farm to create a salty roux. While the aroma of spices rises to the surface, the flavor is mild and slightly fruity, rather than spicy or stimulating. The goal was to create a curry that could be eaten every day without getting tired of it. At the station's snack corner, it is served with seasonal vegetable toppings for 500 yen, 380 yen per bag, or 1,000 yen for three bags.
Roadside Station Original Shochu Shochu is now available! First of all, a glass of shochu is served with a close friend!

In recent years, original brand products have been seen at roadside stations, and "Michi no Eki Matsuura Umi no Furusato Kan" is one of the stations that are enthusiastic about developing roadside station products. Michi no Eki Matsuura Umi no Furusatoyokan is one of the stations that are dedicated to the development of roadside station products. They have created roadside station brands such as onion curry and cured mackerel. And finally, "We made shochu! The news is out! Jams, dressings, and curries are often developed at roadside stations, but shochu?
Of course, the shochu is brewed by Matsukae Shuzo, a long-established brewery in Sasebo City, but the ingredients are Anno sweet potatoes grown on the farm directly managed by the roadside station. The ingredient is the Anno sweet potato grown at the farm directly operated by the roadside station, which is sticky and sweet like honey. That is why it is called "Mitsu-no-Ichiken. I opened the seal of the shochu sent to me. There was not much smell of sweetpotato shochu. I immediately drank it with water. It was surprisingly light and smooth. The sweetness of Anno sweetpotato changed its shape, and it has an elegant taste. It is easy to drink. The aftertaste is also light.
When we looked up Matsugae Shuzo, we found that it has won the Gold Prize in the National New Sake Competition and the Fukuoka Regional Taxation Bureau's Superiority Award for six consecutive years, as well as the Gold Prize in the authentic shochu category for two years in a row this year. This collaboration with a reputable sake brewery has resulted in a beautiful sake. Now, let's invite our friends and enjoy a glass of sake.
Eat this: Buri-don (yellowtail on rice)

Buri-don (yellowtail bowl) has long been a favorite at the station's snack corner. The price for a set meal including soup, pickles, and fruit is a surprising 500 yen, or 600 yen for a large bowl of rice. The menu is available only on weekdays, but on weekends and holidays, it is sold as a take-out bento for 400 yen. Of course, you can bring your own lunch to the snack corner.
