Roadside Station Ono Onsen Gourmet Information

This is the place to eat. Countryside food buffet.

A variety of home-style dishes prepared by local housewives are lined up. The menu includes 30 to 40 different kinds of home-cooked dishes (currently, the cafeteria-style menu consists of about 20 small dishes for the Corona). All of the dishes are made with local vegetables, and are based on the taste of one's mother's cooking. For example, Ono's traditional chicken rice, Zenmai (royal fern) stew, and simmered local shiitake mushrooms and vegetables. The restaurant also boasts dishes made with tofu and okara (bean curd) from Shiraishi Tofu, a local tofu store that has been in business for 60 years. The tofu dish, a generous portion of which is priced at 950 yen for an adult, is very impressive! The restaurant is also open in the evening from Friday to Sunday, serving set menus and other dishes. While many roadside stations in mountainous areas are open only during the day, this is a popular destination for tourists traveling by car.

hot spring

I'm proud of this one too.

Now, another attraction is the hot spring. The indoor baths are made of hinoki cypress and have a fresh aroma. The open-air baths leading from the indoor baths are made of rocks, and the mountain greenery spreading out before your eyes and the clear air of the mountain village will put your mind at ease. The water is alkaline simple spring water that clings to the skin. The sliding door connecting the open-air and indoor baths has an elaborate wooden frame instead of a sash. The private baths include a cypress bath and a rock bath.

ChargeAdults 300 yen, elementary school students 200 yen, 3 years and older 100 yen
Each tax-included private bath is 1,000 yen per room for 60 minutes (bathing fee not included).
