Local product: Kuriyutaka (pumpkin)

With its rich sweetness, smooth texture, and colorful flesh, pumpkin is a vegetable that can be used not only for cooking but also as an ingredient for sweets. In Misato Town, "Kuri Yutaka," a pumpkin with high sugar content, low water content, and a crunchy texture, is grown as a specialty product. Kabocha pie" made from Kuri Yutaka is an original product of the roadside station. Kabocha shochu (pumpkin shochu liquor) is also available, catering to the needs of both sweet-tooths and lefties.
New menu full of local seasonal vegetables at a roadside station popular for its hot springs

The open-air baths with the sound of a murmuring river are popular at "Roadside Station Misato "Samata-no-Yu". Two new menu items are now available at the restaurant in the hot spring bathhouse.
The first item is "Misato Town Vegetable and Shrimp Crunchy Tendon" for 950 yen. Two large shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura including pumpkin, a Misato Town specialty, are neatly arranged on a bed of rice. The tempura vegetables change seasonally, but all are grown in Misato Town. All vegetables are grown in Misato Town, and are available at the produce stand in the roadside station, so they are truly in season. The tempura is deep-fried to order, so it is crispy and the freshness of the vegetables can be fully appreciated.
Another new menu item is "Spicy Chicken Halami Donburi" for 900 yen. The chicken's diaphragm, or halami, is stir-fried with salt and pepper and garnished with colorful Misato-machi vegetables. At the time of the interview, the vegetable was asparagus, but the type of vegetable changes depending on the season. The spicy flavor of the spicy jalami makes the rice go down a treat. The mild and rich flavor can be enjoyed by mixing in the onsen tamago (hot spring egg) in the center.

lodging house
I'm proud of this one too.

There are two types of accommodations: a detached lodge and a group building with four rooms in one building. The detached lodge is slightly larger, but the two-story structure with a tatami room on the first floor is almost identical. Another attraction is the free use of the open-air baths, which are full of natural beauty, and the hot spring bathhouse, which is known for its tepid, high-quality water. All rooms are equipped with an indoor bath, which is filled with the same alkaline simple spring water as that in the Onsenkan. The large windows allow light to stream in, and the natural hot spring water can be enjoyed at any time during your stay in the open space.
