Gold fortune at the East's largest gold mine?
Full of experiences and products related to Kanayama

This roadside station is integrated with the remains of the Taiyu gold mine, the largest gold mine in the East. The former Nakatsue Village is also known as the place where the Cameroon team stayed during the 2002 Japan-Korea Soccer World Cup. The station's specialty, Cameroon soft serve, is unique to Nakatsue Village. At the agricultural produce stand, visitors will find a variety of fresh products from the mountain village, such as Nakatsue's specialty yuzu citrus, shiitake mushrooms, and wasabi (Japanese horseradish). Processed foods such as yuzu pepper, dressing, and tea made from local products are also available. Taio Kinzan Family Travel Village is also in operation, with cabins and campsites set up for visitors to enjoy the outdoors. Visitors can enjoy outdoor life at ease.

I'm proud of this one too.

The mine produced approximately 40 tons of gold and 160 tons of silver over an 80-year period from 1894 to its closure in 1972, and was said to be the largest gold mine in the East, surpassing the Sado Gold Mine. A model of the mine remains intact in the museum, and the mining process is realistically reproduced with dolls and models. In the outdoor area, visitors can try their hand at "gold hunting," a fun activity that even adults can get into once they get started. The store sells chestnut yokan jelly with gold leaf, ume green tea and yuzu tea with pure gold, and barley shochu with gold dust. Goods for good luck and money are also available!
