The Ariake Sea, a bountiful sea rich in minerals, is right in front of the restaurant. The product hall offers a wide variety of seafood, including seaweed cultivated on the Okoshiki coast, prawns landed at the Amida fishing port, and seafood from Amakusa and Yatsushiro. In addition to fresh fish, sashimi, seafood chirashi-sushi, and boiled fish are available for purchase, and seafood dishes can be enjoyed at the fisherman's restaurant. There is also a take-out corner with a full menu including freshly baked bread. Depending on the season, there are also special events such as strawberry picking, deco-marine picking, and the Sea Breeze Marche.

The best place to eat Kaisendon Set Meal

 As a roadside station located right on Mikoshirai Beach, the restaurant's menu features fresh seafood. The "Kaisen-don" set meal is the most popular of all. The menu varies depending on the season, but eight kinds of fresh seafood, including shrimp, squid, sea bream, tuna, and kanpachi (yellowtail), are served in a gorgeous bowl. The large soup bowl is filled with shellfish soup! This is also delicious! The station's famous squid tempura, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), and a small bowl of cooked food are included in the price of 2,000 yen (tax included).

 One of the popular items at the take-out corner is melon bread. The dough used here is from "Bonjour Kobe," which is famous for its melon bread. Bonjour Kobe" pursues a good balance between cookie dough and bread dough, so you can enjoy a crispy outside and a fluffy inside. The "Whipped Melon Pan" sandwiched with whipped cream is also available. There are three types: strawberry, chocolate, and blueberry.  It is a limited edition product available only at roadside stations. It is made from local Udo rice and produced by a brewery in Hitoyoshi, which is known for its Kuma shochu. Kuma shochu is originally a rice shochu, and the brewery is skilled in rice shochu brewing. What is unique is its storage method. It is said that it is stored at the bottom of the Ariake Sea in Mikoshirai. This is possible because the Ariake Sea has stable sea water temperature. We hope you will experience the intoxicating sensation of "seabed-aged rice shochu. 25% by volume, 720㎖, 2,200 yen (including tax).

This scenic spot has been selected as one of the "100 best beaches in Japan" and "100 best sunsets in Japan. The beach is shallow offshore and faces the Ariake Sea, which has the largest tidal range in Japan. At low tide, a beautiful sand pattern created by waves and wind spreads out before your eyes. When low tide coincides with dusk, the beach turns orange, making it even more beautiful; January through April is the best time to see the scenery at low tide at dusk. Unzen Fugendake on the Shimabara Peninsula can also be seen. The rocks of Mikoshirai Beach are composed of alternating layers of shale and sandstone, and are also called "futon-iwa (futon rocks)" because they look like devil's washing rocks.
