Miyazaki's local gourmet food gathers! Noborizaru Festa Together2025 to be held!
The "Noborizaru Festa Together2025" will be held in Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture, on October 18 (Sat.) and 19 (Sun.), bringing together the proud specialties of nine municipalities in northern Miyazaki Prefecture.
This year's theme is "Hikaru Machi, Nobeka Kala! ～Children will be the stars of the day". We aim to create a memorable product exhibition for children with a variety of fun events.
This lively autumn event features a variety of events, including stalls selling local specialties, events for children, and workshops for making "Noborizaru," a folk craft.

Noborizaru" is a traditional craft of Nobeoka, so called because of the way the monkey dolls flutter up the pole as they catch the wind. It is said that it was first made in the Edo period (1603-1867) when a monkey that was destroying the fields was exterminated and an epidemic broke out among the children, and the Noborizaru was set up in the garden as a memorial to the monkey. (Various theories exist.) It is popular as a souvenir or a gift for those who move to another city.

The event's main feature is the sale of local products, with many delicious gourmet foods and sweets from Miyazaki.
The lineup includes fried Nobeoka specialty Mehikari, domestic bamboo shoots, and gyoza and fried dumplings made with hebesu (Miyazaki's specialty citrus fruit).
Enjoy the taste of Miyazaki while tasting our special local beer and shochu!

The annual "Wanpaku Noborizaru" will be held again this year!
Children dressed in bird hats and chanchankos and pretending to be "Noborizaru" cheerfully climb up the wooden pole!
The photo taken at the top will be presented as an original calendar for next year. It will surely be a memorable experience.

Traditional craftsmen from Noborizaru Seisakusho Matsumoto, the only company in Japan that makes Noborizaru, will hold a workshop. Let's make your one and only original Noborizaru!

Parking on the day of the event is limited, so public transportation is recommended.
*On the 19th, a campaign will be held to offer free local buses and other services.
