Chikuzen Town's "Dotonkagashi Festival," where giant kagashi (scarecrows) are handmade and displayed every year, will be held on November 1 (Sat.) and 2 (Sun.), 2025.

This year's ”Kagashi” film is based on the theme of "going back to the basics" and features the image of a mountain dog, which is believed to protect crops from damage by birds and animals, which is the original role of the kagashi, as well as a guardian deity of the fields to prevent disasters. The display of giant scarecrows, a popular annual autumn event that attracts visitors from outside the prefecture, runs from the event date until late January of the following year.
