You can find delicious local sake and new sake!
In fact, Kyushu, the "Sake Capital of Japan," has been attracting the keenest attention of sake fans from all over the country. Kyushu's abundance of famous water and the excellent sake that has been passed down by historic breweries are now ready to be consumed.
In the spring of 2026, "kurabiraki," a celebration of the lifting of the ban on new sake, has begun simultaneously in various regions. Why not visit a sake brewery to experience Kyushu's deep sake culture, which is "more than just shochu"?
Junmai sake with a full-bodied sweetness and ginjo with a crisp, delicious flavor. The popular oak cask-stored sake and popular gin are also of interest! Of course, shochu is not to be missed.
Here we introduce information on kurabiraki throughout Kyushu, which can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to connoisseurs.

For five days, visitors can enjoy a comparison of new sake brewed with Ukiha's famous water and popular brands, as well as local gourmet foods!
